Infiniti UAE unveiled a newer and better version of their flagship full-size luxury SUV, the Infiniti QX80. The launch event was held at the Infiniti New Dawn in Dubai Marina on November 7, 2024. In this review, we will explore this 2025 Infiniti QX80 in depth. But before that, let’s learn a thing or two about Infiniti.
Nissan’s Luxury Vehicle Division
Being a Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan had to make the Infiniti to utilize the U.S. market. Infiniti is a luxury automotive brand known for its elegant design, advanced technology, and powerful performance. With a focus on sophistication and innovation, Infiniti offers vehicles that combine premium comfort with dynamic driving experiences, making each journey extraordinary.
Huge Inside Out
Yes, the car will have a lot of room inside as it is a premium full-size 7-seater SUV. It is huge on the outside too. For comparison, it looks more prominent than a Cadillac Escalade, the only worthy competitor of the 2025 Infiniti QX80.
The Infiniti QX80 is available in 4 trims listed below:
- QX80 SENSORY Captain Chairs starting from AED 450,000
- QX80 AUTOGRAPH Captain Chairs starting from AED 510,000
- QX80 SENSORY Bench Chairs starting from AED 450,000
- QX80 AUTOGRAPH Bench Chairs starting from AED 510,000
Interior Design
This is an expensive car, but when you consider everything it offers, you’ll understand that it’s not that expensive given the quality and value it provides. Leather seats with speakers built into its headrests, massage second-row seats, and reclining and heated third-row seats—what more could you want?
Okay, that is not enough, we agree! But that’s not all the 2025 Infiniti QX80 offers, is it?
We haven’t mentioned all the premium soundproofing material in the cabin, the panoramic moonroof, wooden trims with aluminum accents, or 64-color ambient lighting, have we?
Climbing into the driver’s seat, the first thing you’ll notice is two massive 14.3-inch screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the NAV. A 9.0-inch third screen is also there for you to adjust your driving mode and suspension settings. Did we mention you get air suspension in the QX80?
There’s wireless charging, a big fridge, and more than 8 USB C ports. The Infiniti QX80 comes standard with a 14-speaker Klipsch stereo system and a 24-speaker Klipsch stereo system, which is available in higher trims. Infiniti defines it as “an immersive 3D surround sound experience.”
Comfort Where you Least Expect it
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 interior does something different. It offers comfort even for third-row passengers. No one else is currently doing that, not even Cadillac. For reference, you get powered folding seats, good legroom and headroom, and more than enough space to get in and out quickly.
On higher trims, an available infrared sensor system detects when a rear-seat passenger is too warm and automatically directs cool air toward them from the climate control vents. This is outside-the-box thinking, and this is what Infiniti is good at.
Art of Exterior Elegance Revealed
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 wasn’t built to blend in; it was built to stand out, turn heads, and make a bold statement. The elegant front grille compliments its two-tone exterior. The grille and the DRLs design look a lot like the Lexus LX600.
The QX80 is the first model to feature the latest evolution of Infiniti’s design. The grille design is inspired by the upright organic shapes of a bamboo forest, and the door handles pop out like in a Range Rover. You get standard 22-inch wheels and a much-needed illuminated 3D emblem. Just don’t know who needed that!
The back is where it lacks. The back doesn’t live up to its overall elegance. It’s not bad, but it also isn’t half as good-looking as the overall car. The taillights are nice, though, and are still located on that back, but I guess even the taillights couldn’t make it better. That’s just our opinion. You can disagree.
Does it Have the GT-R Engine?
Let’s talk about performance! Many people think the 2025 Infiniti QX80 is powered by the same engine found in the Nissan GT-R, but that is not true. The GT-R has a 3.8l VR38DETT engine, while the Infiniti QX80 features a 3.5l VR35DDTT. Both engines are V6 but quite different overall.
Land Yacht
The previous generation Infiniti QX80 had a 5.6-liter V-8 with a 7-speed automatic transmission. This one has a 3.5-liter V6 Twin Turbocharged to provide the best of both worlds: increased fuel efficiency, less emissions due to smaller displacement, and more power from the twin turbos.
A family SUV with 450 HP and 700 NM of torque may not be the fastest, but it’ll be fun. That’s the point of going fast, right? Infiniti also ditched the 7-speed automatic and adopted the new 9-speed automatic transmission, powering either the rear wheels or all of them at the same time.
This power helps propel this land yacht from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. The 9-speed automatic transmission with rear differential lock fulfills your off-road requirements. This is an impressive performance from a family SUV.
A Showcase of Innovation at its Finest
Infiniti has left no stone unturned in improving and innovating its flagship SUV, the 2025 Infiniti QX80. This beast of a machine offers impressive technology and features. The 9-speed transmission shifts smoothly through the gears, while the digital suspension adapts every 1/100 of a second to provide a sporty and assured driving experience.
Infiniti’s All-Mode 4WD constantly modifies the distribution of power between the front and rear axles for improved traction. The Drive Mode Selector features six options to customize the powertrain. You can choose the most appropriate setting for the current driving conditions.
The wholly redesigned QX80 features an advanced digital suspension system. At increased speeds, it automatically reduces the ride height to enhance handling, stability, and grip on the road. A small list of some of the features you get are as follows:
- Adaptive air suspension for improved ride comfort and handling
- Head-up display
- Drive recorder
- Advanced cabin air filtration
- Cabin camera, which allows the driver to view the rear passengers
- Cabin soundproofing with acoustic glass renders the interior
- Biometric Tri-zone Climate Control
- Remote Keyless Entry
- Powered Tailgate
- Smart Rearview Mirror
- ProPilot Assist 2.1
ProPilot Assist 2.1
ProPilot Assist 2.1 is Infiniti’s advanced driver-assistance technology, offering hands-free driving on designated highways. It combines adaptive cruise control, lane-centering, and navigation-linked speed adjustments, allowing the vehicle to steer, accelerate, and brake autonomously in certain conditions, enhancing safety and reducing driver fatigue on long journeys.
Infiniti QX80 Competitors
The competitors of the 2025 Infiniti QX80 are not playing around either. Let’s have a look at some of them:
Mercedes-Benz GLS

Cadillac Escalade
The Cadillac Escalade is an iconic luxury SUV recognized for its bold styling, expansive interior, and advanced tech features. Known for its powerful performance and comfort, the Escalade offers a commanding presence on the road and a top-tier luxury experience.

Final Verdict
Infiniti has made an impressive machine that lives up to its name. But the other players on the field aren’t novices. This vehicle is not the best family SUV, but it has something better than each of its competitors. Yes, it’s relatively better than the Cadillac Escalade, but exactly how good do you think it is?
