2026 Kia EV4 – The Future of Affordable EVs Starts Here

Kia EV4

Kia broadens its electric lineup with the EV4 sedan and hatchback duo, targeting those uninterested in SUVs. First revealed as a concept in October 2023, the EV4’s production model was recently showcased. The Kia EV4 premiered yesterday, alongside the EV2 concept, at Kia EV Day 2025 in Spain.

You can just read this blog till the end to see the technical specifications of both these cars.

Now that the exterior is familiar, the focus shifts to the cabin, which features a triple-screen setup. Two 12.3-inch displays flank a 5.3-inch climate screen. Despite its digital focus, physical shortcuts remain on the dashboard and central armrest.

Kia ensures safety, claiming the roof can withstand over five times the vehicle’s weight. The sedan offers 490 liters of cargo space, while the hatchback provides 435 liters. Built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, the EV4 maximizes passenger and cargo space.

Performance & Range

Unlike many E-GMP models, the EV4 is front-wheel drive. A single motor produces 201 hp, but an all-wheel-drive variant has not been confirmed. Buyers can choose between 58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh battery options.

The smaller battery delivers 430 km in the sedan and 410 km in the hatchback, while the larger battery offers 630 km in the sedan and 590 km in the hatchback. The new Kia EV4’s drag coefficient of 0.23 enhances efficiency. Click here to see the exterior and interior images.

Charging & Speed

DC fast charging takes 29 minutes (10-80%) for the smaller battery and 31 minutes for the larger pack. AC charging requires 5 hours 20 minutes for the base battery and 7 hours 15 minutes for the larger pack.

The EV4 sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds with the smaller battery and 7.7 seconds with the larger pack.

Top speed is electronically limited to 170 km/h.

Production & Pricing

Kia will manufacture the EV4 sedan in Korea, while the hatchback, exclusive to Europe, will be built in Slovakia. The sedan launches in Korea next month, followed by Europe in late 2025. A U.S. version will follow, likely priced above the $35,000 EV3.
