AED 3,000 Fine for Quadbikes on Ajman Main Roads

In a recent effort to ensure the safety of bike riders, Ajman police have revised the fine for quadbikes on Ajman roads. The penalties for traffic violations of bike riders have also been revised and enforced. Driving any type of motorcycle, ATV, or quadbike without a suitable license will result in an AED 3000 fine and the vehicle being confiscated for 90 days.

Fines, Black Points, and Vehicle Impoundment

Motorcycle riders driving without a suitable license or helmet or caught driving recklessly will face serious consequences. Riding without a helmet will result in an AED 500 and four black points on the driving license. Reckless driving is also an offense with a fine of AED 2000, 24 black points, and a 60-day vehicle impoundment.

Safety First

Ajman police announced these strict measures yesterday to corroborate the safety and security of bike riders and civilians. Lt-Col Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, deputy director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said given the number of bike riders in the area, these measures were mandatory.

Highlighting the large number of delivery bike riders in the area, he also requested that motorists pay attention to motorcycle drivers when moving from one lane to another to avoid endangering their lives. With respect to these heavy fine for quadbikes, we request everyone to drive responsibly on the road.

Implicating these fines is crucial for the well-being of riders. Drivers should be careful around bike riders and vice versa. You are safer in a car than on a bike, so you should avoid sudden lane changes if you are driving a car.

For riders, ditch the quadbike, always wear your helmet and safety kit, and avoid reckless driving. You are responsible for your own and other people’s safety on the road.
