Riding without a helmet will result in an AED 500 and four black points on the driving license. Reckless driving is also an offense with a fine of AED 2000, 24 black points, and a 60-day vehicle impoundment.

Lt-Col Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, deputy director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said given the number of bike riders in the area, these measures were mandatory.
