Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a Chinese Automaker, has officially opened its first showroom in Dubai to cater to the UAE market and introduced four flagship models in partnership with M.A.H.Y. Khoory. Each of these vehicles is in a class of its own.
The four models include two flagship sedans, the Dongfeng Shine and Dongfeng Shine Max, and two flagship SUV models, the Dongfeng AX7 and Dongfeng Mage. These are some of the most economically priced Chinese vehicles introduced to the UAE market in 2024.
This debut was inspired by the dominant Western and Japanese cars in the GCC region. Dongfeng aims to deliver a blend of advanced technology and cost-effectiveness to its valued customers in the UAE region. So far, it has taken a big step toward this cause.
Marking a New Era
Salahuddin Sharafi, chairman of M.A.H.Y. Khoory, inaugurated the showroom. Key people present at the inauguration included the company’s CEO, Shabbir Haideri, and GM of the Automotive Division, Saj Jabbar.
Addressing the ceremony, Saj Jabbar highlighted,” The entry of Dongfeng marks an exciting milestone. These models bring a blend of cutting-edge tech, performance, and affordability well-suited to the U.A.E. market.” This speech indicates Dongfeng Automotive’s commitment to delivering the perfect product to its customers.
Expansion Plans
M.A.H.Y. Khoory is not new to the UAE market; Dongfeng will benefit from M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s extensive local market knowledge, which will help Dongfeng in further expansion across the U.A.E. region. Becoming the sole distributor of Dongfeng Motors marks M.A.H.Y. Khoory’s return to the automotive sector.
Dongfeng Car Prices in UAE
Dongfeng Motor’s latest addition to the U.A.E. Chinese cars market is two sedans and two S.U.V.s discussed above. The estimated prices of these cars are as follows;
- Dongfeng Shine is priced between AED 49,900 to AED 61,900
- Dongfeng Shine Max is priced between AED 64,900 to AED 74,900
- Dongfeng AX7 is priced between AED 68,900 to AED 74,900
- Dongfeng Mage is priced between AED 77,900 to AED 83,900
Increasing Demand for Chinese Vehicles
With the ever-increasing car prices, buying and maintaining a new car in the U.A.E. has become quite tricky, but this caused the introduction of Chinese vehicles to the market. These vehicles had similar technology to other latest vehicles but had a relatively lower price tag than those vehicles.
This made it easy for an average working-class person to buy a new car and enjoy all the benefits of a premium or high-end vehicle at half the price. Chinese cars are the best of both worlds, as they are affordable, reliable, and equipped with advanced technological features.
