No Salik, No Parking Fees? Dubai’s Ramadan Gift to Drivers

Dubai’s RTA has announced changes to Salik, parking, and public transport schedules during Ramadan. The new timings will apply across Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public parking, and Salik toll gates throughout the holy month.

Metro Timings For Ramadan

The Red and Green lines will operate from 5 am to 12 midnight Monday through Thursday and Saturday, providing extended service for your convenience. On Fridays, services will extend until 1 am, while on Sundays, operations will start later at 8 am and run until midnight.

Dubai Tram Operating Hours

The Dubai Tram will operate from 6 am to 1 am from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, it will operate from 9 am to 1 am.

Public Parking Timings for Ramadan

Paid parking will be applicable in two periods:

 

Parking Periods From Till
First period 8 am 6 pm
Second period 8 pm 12 midnight

 

Parking will remain free between 6 pm and 8 pm from Monday to Saturday and throughout Sundays, offering you significant cost savings. Multi-level parking buildings will continue to operate 24/7.

Salik Toll Charges for Ramadan

Salik toll gates will charge AED 6 during weekday peak hours from 9 am – 5 pm. Off-peak hours,  from 7 am – 9 am and 5 pm – 2 am, will have a reduced charge of AED 4.

The Salik toll will be free from 2 am to 7 am from Monday to Saturday throughout Ramadan. On Sundays, a flat rate of AED 4 will apply all day from 7 am to 2 am, with free hours from 2 am to 7 am.

Public Transport Updates and Customer Service

RTA advises commuters to check the S’hail app or the RTA website for updated public bus and marine transport schedules. Revisions to the hours for customer happiness centers and other service centers are also available online.
