The 2026 BMW iX: Evolution in Motion
The luxury electric SUV marketplace is bursting with exciting options, but the 2026 BMW iX has taken over the spotlight. Its perfect combination of innovation, practicality, and performance really makes it stand out.
What’s New?
Inside, you’ll find a stylish and roomy haven that promises to make your daily commute a blessing. And if you happen to take a windy road, the iX is ready to provide some fun— even the 402 hp base variant offers exceptional acceleration!

A refreshing update for 2026 keeps the BMW iX relevant among competitors like the Audi Q8 e-tron and Rivian R1S. The 2026 BMW iX features eye-catching aesthetic updates with a new grille design, updated lighting, sleek new wheels, and multi-function sports seats that enhance comfort.
The xDrive50 and M60 trims have been revamped into three models:
- xDrive45
- xDrive60
- M70 xDrive
The M70 is the performance version, boasting an impressive 650 hp. Meanwhile, the xDrive60 offers an estimated 340 miles per charge range. The xDrive45 is a friendly introduction to the lineup, providing 402 horsepower and 312 miles of range—all for under AED 300,000!
The entry-level xDrive45 is powered by two electric motors paired with standard AWD. The xDrive60, with 536 hp, is next.
Performance
According to the EPA, this electric SUV, with dual-motor all-wheel drive, can travel an incredible 340 miles between charges. Moreover, the iX features BMW’s latest technology, including an easy-to-use infotainment system and an optional hands-free driving mode.
Adjustable air suspension and rear-wheel steering are available for the xDrive45 and xDrive60 models and are standard on the M70. During our first drive of the iX, we were pleasantly surprised by its ample power, impressive energy efficiency, agile handling, and smooth ride.
The cabin remains wonderfully quiet, even in the high-performance M70 version, which features more pronounced suspension tuning to minimize body roll. However, it may have a slightly firmer ride compared to the other two models.
