The Dubai RTA has just announced some exciting developments that are sure to benefit residents and commuters alike! They have recently opened an additional exit on the Dubai-Al Ain Road, directed explicitly towards Al Ain at Exit 58.
This new addition is a fantastic stride towards significantly reducing travel time for those making their way to Al Ain City and for those journeying back to Dubai. This new exit is part of a comprehensive series of traffic improvements being implemented in the Al-Faqa area.
The development is in response to the rising number of vehicles in the region, which has placed a demand on the existing infrastructure. The new exit on Al Ain road, Exit 58, provides access to a U-turn tunnel before reaching the Al-Faqa area.
Hamad Al Shehhi, the Director of Roads at RTA, expressed the organization’s commitment to implementing enhancements that meet the highest standards in Dubai.

Acceleration & Deceleration Lane
Additionally, Al Shehhi elaborated on several other key improvements aimed at promoting safer and more effective traffic flow. On the Dubai-Al Ain Road, a new deceleration lane, stretching a notable 430 meters, has been constructed towards Al Ain.
This lane is specifically designed to facilitate smoother access for vehicles approaching Exit 58. Moreover, a new roundabout has been constructed to improve the ease with which drivers can enter and exit the existing tunnel.
This development allows for better U-turn movements on the road, alleviating congestion and helping drivers navigate the area more effortlessly. To further enhance the driving experience, a new 600-meter acceleration lane has been introduced for vehicles heading toward Al Ain.
This lane ensures that motorists can merge smoothly into the traffic flow without any hassle. These remarkable enhancements significantly boost traffic safety and play a vital role in reducing the risks of accidents.
