Al Ain Seizes 106 Vehicles for Noise Violations

0 21

In January, law enforcement officials in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain took action by seizing 106 vehicles that were causing noise violations in Al Ain City. Driving cars with loud exhausts isn’t just frowned upon.

It’s a serious traffic violation that can result in a hefty fine of AED 2000 and 12 black points on your license. Article 73 of the Traffic Law states that authorities can fine drivers AED 1000, give them 12 black points, and impound their vehicle for 30 days if they make unauthorized modifications to its engine or chassis

Out of the Frying Pan, into the Fire

If the modified vehicles flee, the fees can really add up! The reward for returning those vehicles is AED 10,000. However, authorities will sell the vehicle at a public auction if the fine remains unpaid.

Brigadier Mahmoud Yusuf Al Balushi, the Director of the Traffic and Patrol Directorate, has shared an important reminder for drivers, “Noisy driving can lead to noise pollution, reckless behavior, and disturbances in our cherished residential areas.”

Vehicle noise disrupts the peace of the community and can, unfortunately, lead to stress and frustration for everyone on the road. This will negatively impact vulnerable groups like children, older people, and those who may be unwell.

Brigadier Mahmoud firmly stated that the Abu Dhabi Police will actively address any behaviors that intentionally create disturbances. This includes excessive noise from vehicles or unauthorized modifications to engines or chassis.

Conclusion

Al Ain recently cracked down on noise violations. This highlights the seriousness of driving modified vehicles. These vehicles disturb residential areas. With hefty fines, black points, and vehicle impoundment, the penalties are a reminder for drivers with loud cars.

The UAE authorities commit to ensuring a peaceful environment on the roads and in neighborhoods. Thanks for reading till the end. Let us know what you think in the comments below. Keep following the Arabwheels blog for more information.
