This Eid ul-Etihad, Bolt, one of the world’s leading ride-hailing services, launched its operations in the UAE on 2nd December, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country’s transportation sector. Launching on the Al Etihad National Day, the Bolt reflects the dedication to aligning with the UAE’s vision of progress and technological advancements.

Bolt’s debut in the UAE is a significant addition to the UAE government’s mobility strategy, which plans to transition 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing in the coming years.
The purpose of introducing Bolt is to reduce congestion and promote public transportation, providing affordable, convenient, and efficient urban transportation. Through Bolt’s user-friendly app, users can seamlessly book, track the ride, and make payments online via their smartphones.
It is designed to meet the various needs of residents and tourists. In the initial step, Bolt partnered with Dubai’s Taxi Company, giving users access to Bolt XL for larger groups and premium rides for an elite class, such as luxury cars like limousines listed in the fleet. Further, this initial offering will expand to taxi services in the next stage, creating versatile mobility solutions.
