UAE’s local auto manufacturer, Eneron, just introduced its Eneron Magnus at the IDEX 2025. It’s a hybrid electric autonomous armored vehicle with a claimed range of 900 km in hybrid mode and 150 km in all-electric mode.
The Eneron Magnus will be one of the most technologically advanced additions to the UAE National Guard. It will have autonomous navigation, electrification, and defense-grade protection. First Lieutenant Abdulla Al Ahmad, from the National Guard Capacity Development, said,
“It has more advanced radars, especially for night missions, featuring thermal detection and 360-degree surveillance.”
Eneron Magnus
Eneron is a subsidiary of Kintsugi. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 km/h. This is pretty impressive, considering it weighs 7500 kg. It has a towing capacity of 7500 kgs and comes with two customizable surveillance drones.
According to Waleed Al Blooshi, head of communications at Kintsugi, Magnus’ manufacturer, “Previously, most military vehicles were strictly diesel or petrol. This is the first one with such advanced electric features; as a military vehicle, it can operate quietly without drawing attention and is less likely to overheat in high temperatures.”
Stealth Mode
Even when the engine is off, the surveillance system benefits the personnel inside the four-seat vehicle. Fitted iPads enable them to monitor any surrounding movement within a 300-meter range.
If any accompanying device loses power, there’s no need to search for an external power source – the Magnus is equipped with 110 liters of diesel, which helps boost the battery,” explained Al Blooshi.
The Real Batmobile
Batmobile is the word that best describes this beast of a vehicle. It has amazing ground clearance, reliability, stealth technology, 360 – surveillance, drones, fuel efficiency, and night vision. All of these things in one singular vehicle were something unheard of a while back.
Waleed Al Blooshi said, “We wanted to create a new kind of military vehicle with a unique design—something that is not just eye-catching but also high-performing and equipped with cutting-edge technology.”
