Rev Your Engines for KT Desert Drive 2024

UAE citizens and expats love the deserts. What they love most is rallying in those deserts with their mean 4×4 monster machines. Just like medieval warriors used to play and race with their horses, the Emiratees do so with their Nissan Patrols, Toyota FJ Cruisers, and Mitsubishi Pajeros. That’s what Desert Drive 2024 is all about. 

Tradition Among Locals

Khaleej Times organized its first successful Desert Drive in 2019. Since then, it has become a popular tradition among locals and tourists alike. Thousands of people eagerly wait to attend or catch a glimpse of this event. Whether you’re there for the food or the driving, your adrenaline will be through the roof.

Why is that?

That’s because, unlike the Desert Safari, you don’t get to be the passenger princess in a comfortable drive. Instead, you are given the opportunity to unleash your and your vehicle’s true potential at the same time. You will experience what Desert Drive 2024  means, but you will be safe as these events are organized in a controlled environment. 

When and Where?

The event will be held on December 14, 2024, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The tickets went live on September 12, 2024 here.  The location where you will be able to attend this event will be “The Dunes Camping & Safari, Ras Al Khaimah.” Make sure you reach there on time so you don’t get stuck in the crowd of thousands of others. 

How Can You Participate?

If you want to participate in this event, follow this step-by-step tutorial:

1. Register online for Desert Drive 2024 here. 
2. Complete the payment to receive further instructions on how to collect a welcome pack.
3. Receive information on how to prepare for the drive extraordinaire
4. Show up on the day of the event and leave the rest to the Khaleej Times team

What Can You Expect?

• Participants gather at the specified venue and sign in, after which they receive the Desert Drive 2024 route plan, meals, vouchers, and more.  

• The drive will include several checkpoints along with plenty of interactive activities, such as games, delicious food, and numerous giveaways.  

• Upon completing the route, the vehicles will arrive at the final location.  

• The entertainment and evening dinner will then commence.  

• Participants will exit once the event concludes.
  

What’s it Going to Cost You?

The ticket price for an adult is AED 299 per person. For children between the ages of 6 and 11, the ticket price is AED 199 per person. Children under 6 are strictly not allowed.
