0 24

Parkin PJSC, Dubai’s most prominent public parking operator, will introduce variable parking fees in early April 2025. The new pricing system will apply across all public parking zones in the emirate. Dubai’s public parking is divided into four zones (A, B, C, D), with premium and standard options for both on-street and off-street parking.

The variable parking fees will impact these zones based on peak and off-peak hours.

Peak Hours:

  • 8 am – 10 am
  • 4 pm – 8 pm

Off-Peak Hours:

  • 10 am – 4 pm
  • 8 pm – 10 pm

During peak hours, premium parking in all zones (A, B, C, D) will cost AED 6 per hour. Standard tariffs will remain unchanged on public holidays.

Daily Parking Rates for Zones B and D

Zones B and D will continue to offer daily rate options under the variable parking fees system.

Zone B: AED 40 per day (Premium Parking)

Zone D: AED 30 per day (Premium Parking)

Ramadan Parking Timings

During Ramadan, chargeable hours will be adjusted:

First Period: 8 am – 6 pm

Second Period: 8 pm – 12 Midnight

Free Parking: 6 pm – 8 pm (Monday to Saturday) and all day Sundays

Multi-level parking buildings will remain operational 24/7.

Premium Parking Areas

Parkin is finalizing details with the RTA regarding the variable parking fees system. Premium parking spaces were selected based on the following:

  • Proximity to Public Transport
  • High Parking Demand during peak hours
  • Density and Congestion

Premium parking areas include:

  • Deira and Bur Dubai
  • Downtown Dubai & Business Bay
  • Jumeirah & Al Wasl Road

Authorities will designate approximately 35% of Dubai’s 184,000 public parking spaces as premium parking under the variable parking fees system.

Conclusion

Dubai’s new  parking fees aim to optimize parking space utilization and ease congestion in high-traffic areas. With changes in peak-hour tariffs and premium parking rates, commuters should plan to manage parking costs effectively.
